Rohit Shetty Responds To Criticism Of Sooryavanshi's Song 'Tip Tip' Featuring Akshay Kumar And Katrina Kaif; 'They Are Right In Their Own Way'
Sooryavanshi starrer Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif released a couple of days ago. The movie has been receiving a great response from the audiences and critics. The songs too are loved by the masses. However, one song in particular that managed to create the most buzz is 'Tip Tip'. The song is a remixed version of Tip Tip Barsa Paani from Mohra (1994). Several fans of the original song are unhappy with the new version.

Rohit Shetty has now responded to the criticism that the song received. Speaking to radio host Siddharth Kanan, he said, "Dekhiye main maanta hoon ki kuch log jo die hard fan hai, jinko lagta hai remake nahi karna chaiye tha, woh apni jagah sahi hai."

He said that with Aankh Marey as well as Tip Tip, they tried to retain the essence of the original, from the original singers to even the instruments. "Kai baar hota hai ki it backfire also. Tip Tip ek cult song hai, I agree, but new generation ke liye bhi revive ho jaata hai. Woh yeh gaana dekh ke bhi purana gaana wapas dekhenge." Earlier, Farah Khan also responded to the criticism that the song received. Speaking to India Today, she said, "I want to say why do you have to hate this to like that? You are getting two for the price of one. And you know, Rekha and Chinni Prakash, who did the original song, their son was assisting Rohit on this song. I kept telling him, "Call your father and I hope he's not going to be upset", and he said, "No, my dad loves you!" So that was a big relief because I personally don't like doing remakes of songs."
